Originally from Africa, lulled by legends and myths, I have been passionate about hemp since my childhood, I was attracted by a pygmy legend that gave rise to in me the desire to assimilate hemp to a chameleon plant and start my business.

Indeed, with its 10,000 possible applications in all fields, it is in my unique sense in the plant kingdom. It adapts and transforms for our collective good.

The chameleon immediately imposed itself on me, it made the link between the plant, my company and my values.

The chameleon in the pygmy tradition is the animal that God created to tell men that they were going to be immortal. The latter being so slow, God ends up sending a lizard to tell men that they were going to be mortal.

The main assets of a chameleon:

With each step, the chameleon weighs the elements before putting his paw to make sure that the latter is stable and secure. He's moving cautiously.

When he wants to pass an obstacle, he uses his tail, which is prehensile and allows him to secure himself. He's in charge of his back.

He is one of the few animals to be able to look back and forth simultaneously through his eyes. He has a lens eye like humans. Both eyes almost completely protrude from the orbits to increase the field of vision and can move independently of each other. He's encircling his environment.

He also has a prehensile tongue that can reach up to twice the length of his body. When hunting, it gets at the right distance from its prey, deploys its tongue in a fraction of a second, either it catches its prey or it folds the tongue so as not to be countered. He excels in approach.

It has a camouflage ability, when it arrives in a medium, it takes the color of the middle to blend in and respect it. He becomes scarlet when we look for noises. He's respectful.

Finally I like the pun between the chameleon / terre de chanvre and my first name Lionel, indeed "came": for the items in hemp and "Leon" the party corresponding to Lionel for management.

And so for almost 20 years we have been involved in the development of the hemp industry, we are fighting to restore this plant to the place it deserves in our "World". During these years, we have encountered all kinds of situations and misunderstandings with all kinds of people, who had grievances...

We had a trial and we won it, we carried out more than 300 salons, We had seized, we had disasters (explosion on the marjoram salon) ......

But we can say we also had a lot of luck and team support, thanks to Valérie, Laurence, Elise, Maria, Benoit, Daniel, Fred, Eric, Pipou, Max, Vivian, Gaétan, Jean Marc, Olive,.... and all the others I forget, thanks also to all our customers who allow us to be always there!

PATIENCE AND LENGTH OF TIME ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK

WE ARE PROUD TO BE CHANVRIERS
